Cruise-line shore excursions mean big coaches, fixed itineraries and 40 strangers waiting while one couple shops. A private excursion is a different day entirely: it's just your party, a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle, and a licensed local guide who shapes the day around what you actually want to see, and moves at your pace, not the group's.
Trek Morocco Desert is a UK-registered operator founded by Nourddine, born in Morocco. We have been running private day tours from the country's ports for years, and our single most important number is the one that matters most to cruise travelers: we have never returned a guest late for their ship. We plan every excursion backward from your all-aboard time, with a safety buffer built in.
The result: more Morocco, zero stress, and a private day that usually costs about the same per couple as the ship's coach for an experience that isn't even comparable.

The magnificent oceanfront Hassan II Mosque, the old medina, the Corniche, Rick's Café and the Habous quarter the essential Casablanca, at your pace.

The bold option, expertly timed: a fast run to the Red City for the Koutoubia, Bahia Palace, the souks and Jemaa el-Fna back aboard with a buffer. For confident explorers.

Morocco's elegant capital: the blue-and-white Kasbah of the Udayas, the Hassan Tower, the Chellah ruins and the royal mausoleum, calm, beautiful, uncrowded.

Into the Rif mountains to the famous blue city: wander the indigo lanes, the kasbah and the Spanish quarter, with a scenic drive and a mountain lunch.

The medina and kasbah, the mythic Caves of Hercules, and Cape Spartel where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean — plus a camel photo stop on the beach.

The Kasbah viewpoint and beachfront, a women's argan cooperative, tree-climbing goats, and the option of Taroudant —, the "little Marrakech" , behind its red walls.
Same port, same hours a completely different day.
We plan backward from your all-aboard time with a safety buffer, and track your ship's actual schedule on the day.
Private air-conditioned vehicle for your group alone couples, families, friends. No 50-seat coach, no waiting for strangers.
Expert English-speaking guides who tailor the commentary and pace to you — and know every shortcut around the crowds.
Want more mosque, less shopping? A specific restaurant? A photo stop? Just say so. The day bends to you.
Your guide meets you right at the port with a name sign , no hunting for a coach, no confusion.
Child seats, an easy pace, wheelchair-accessible vehicles on request, tell us your needs when you book.
Clear per-group quotes, no hidden fees, and often the same per-couple cost as the ship's coach tour.
Your guide and our team stay reachable throughout for any question or change of plan on the day.

Our Tour Guide Abdou was nice, funny and adapted the plans to our wishes. It was very nice and we highly recommend AbdouPosted on Tripadvisor Tammie PVerified New Year's Chill Solo Trip I waited a little over a month to write this review for a reason. This personal trip was about regrouping and thinking for what's ahead for 2025. I chose The Edgewater because I took my kids and grandkid there the weekend prior to Christmas for festivities in Seattle, and I saw an awesome TikTok about the hotel. That marketing strategy definitely reeled me into the property. In that first stay, we had the opportunity to be in a water suite on one day and city suite the second day, which wasn't originally planned but was an amazing opportunity for my family and me. On this second trip, it was all about me. I scheduled a nice hotel room with city views, which did not disappoint. The room was elegant and the bathroom was beautiful with it's mountainous stone decor. The shower gave the right pressure of hot water, which is a plus if you want to relax in a steam like environment. The part of this review takes a negative into a positive turn. After placing my bags into my room, I headed to the bar for a drink. Sat at the bar and asked the young bartender for a chocolate martini, something different on the last day of the year. He just arrived on shift, and said he would be happy to oblige. However, someone above him came to him to say that the bar was closed and they were closed until the New Year's gathering in the bar / restaurant. There was no sign that the bar was closed due to patrons sitting in the lounge area of the bar and restaurant. When the person who stopped the bartender at the beginnings of making the drink decided to not accommadate, I went to the front desk to state to maybe it would be best to add signage for all guests to know that the bar was closed and to ensure that front staff and all staff were aware prior to shift of the bar being closed for guests staying at the hotel. After that time, I never returned to the bar for the duration of my stay, and ordered room service the entirety of that time. I went there for alone time, I got it. I explained all of this to say, business is business but in customer service and hospitality, all guests should be accommodated on simple requests, such as making a drink on the last day of the year. The highs were the rest of the staff that made my stay very welcoming - LaRelle, Jesse, Lydia, Dave, Thomas, Selena, and Gabe. Those that work in wait staff, valet, and the resturant staff that brought my food order to my room both New Year's night and New Year's morning; both were wonderful people and very friendly. The Edgewater is a beautiful, serene, and elegant property located perfectly on the Elliott Bay. The views are gorgeous, and my favorite views are on the water. I gave a five star for both visits within one week of each other. Would I come back again? I would because staff can either make or break a trip, and the staff there (outside of the one) made the trip for me.Posted on Tripadvisor Jan KVerified Tour through Marrakesh with dinner Had an awesome time in Marrakesh! Abdou, our guide cum driver, took care of us very well. I will highly recommend this tour company.Posted on Tripadvisor Explorer62409321012Verified Sahara trip 2024 We booked a private luxury tour with Sahara luxury travel for 4 night from Marrakech to merzouga and back. We travel through atlas mountains, rose valley, atlas studio, dades valley. We trekked into the Sahara via camel ride, stayed in a luxury tent, which has private shower and toilet. We enjoyed homemade Berber pizza! Which was the best food we enjoyed in Morocco. The family was so welcoming and the pizza was simple and savoy! We stayed in one tent and two hotels, dinners and breakfast was included. Our guide Abdul was awesome. If you plan to go. Then book it. It was a safe trip, people were wonderful, food was good, I loved the pizza and the tagines! Pictures and memories are once in a life time. Since it was a luxury tour, we were able to adjust what we wanted to see.
Not sure how much you can fit into your port hours, whether Marrakech is realistic, or what suits the kids? Send us your ship and date and we'll tell you honestly what's possible, and design the perfect day around your all-aboard time.
When your ship docks in Morocco, you have just one precious day to discover a country most travelers spend a lifetime returning to. A private Morocco shore excursion is the way to make that day count. Instead of following a numbered flag onto a fifty-seat coach, you step off the gangway to find your own guide, your own air-conditioned vehicle and a day shaped entirely around you. No crowds, no waiting, no compromise , just the real Morocco, at your pace, and back to your cabin with time to spare.
Casablanca is Morocco’s largest cruise port and the launchpad for our most popular shore excursions. Spend the day in the city itself the vast oceanfront Hassan II Mosque, the old medina, the Corniche and the Habous quarter or head inland to the imperial elegance of Rabat, with its blue-and-white Kasbah of the Udayas and the Hassan Tower. For confident explorers on a full-day port call, our carefully timed Casablanca to Marrakech day trip delivers the Red City’s Koutoubia, Bahia Palace, souks and the legendary Jemaa el-Fna square always with a safety buffer built in so you return to your ship relaxed, not rushed.
From the northern port of Tangier, our shore excursions reach two unforgettable destinations. Journey into the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen, the famous “Blue Pearl,” and lose yourself in its indigo-washed lanes and mountain kasbah. Or explore Tangier itself , the labyrinthine medina, the mythic Caves of Hercules and Cape Spartel, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea. Every Tangier excursion is private, flexible and timed precisely to your ship’s schedule.
Agadir, on Morocco’s sun-drenched Atlantic coast, opens the door to the Souss Valley. Visit a women’s argan oil cooperative, meet the famous tree-climbing goats, admire the panoramic Kasbah viewpoint over the bay, and on longer port calls — venture to Taroudant, the walled “little Marrakech” behind its magnificent red ramparts. It’s the perfect blend of coast, culture and countryside in a single stress-free day.
Trek Morocco Desert is a UK-registered tour operator founded by Nourddine, born and raised in Morocco. We have been running private day tours and cruise shore excursions from the country’s ports for years, and our proudest statistic is the one that matters most at sea: we have never returned a guest late for their ship. Every excursion is planned backward from your all-aboard time, monitored on the day, and backed by our on-time promise. Add licensed local guides, transparent per-group pricing, gangway pick-up and 24/7 WhatsApp support, and you have a shore excursion that turns one day in port into the highlight of your entire cruise.
Tell us your cruise line, ship, port and date, and within 24 hours you’ll receive a private itinerary timed to your schedule and a clear, no-obligation quote. Your ship is in port — let’s explore Morocco together.
Yes, this is our top priority and our track record is spotless. We plan every excursion backward from your ship's published all-aboard time, build in a generous safety buffer, and monitor your ship on the day. In the rare event of a delay caused by us, we cover the cost of reuniting you with your ship at the next port.
Our main port is Casablanca the gateway to the city itself, Rabat and (for confident travelers) Marrakech. We also operate from Tangier in the north (Chefchaouen, Cape Spartel, the medina) and Agadir in the south (argan valley, Taroudant). Tell us your port and we'll design the ideal day.
Often it's comparable per couple and occasionally cheaper for a family or small group, since you're sharing a private vehicle rather than paying per head on a coach. For that price you get a private guide, a flexible itinerary and no crowds. Every quote is fixed and transparent, with no hidden fees.
Yes, on longer port calls. Marrakech is roughly 2.5–3 hours each way from Casablanca, so it works when your ship is in port for a full day. We time it carefully with a buffer and focus on the highlights the Koutoubia, Bahia Palace, the souks and Jemaa el-Fna. If your port time is shorter, we'll steer you to Casablanca or Rabat instead.
Cruises get re-routed and ports occasionally get cancelled by the line we understand completely. If your ship can no longer call at the port, we refund your deposit in full. Booking with us carries no risk on that front.
